2001 - The first Russell Watergardens superstore opened just outside the city of Redmond, Washington. Among the many displays was the Original pondless waterfall that sparked the phenomenon around the world.

2002 - Began wholesale distribution to serve contractors throughout the Pacific Northwest.

2002 - Began designing and testing the first prototypes of the world's first backwashable waterfall filter - the Marlin Hydro Vortex™.

2003 - Marlin Hydro Vortex™ goes into production and released nationally via the web site and direct mail to existing customer base.
